Hello! I am Shyamolina. I consider myself an interdisciplinary scientist trained in an internationally diverse education system. I completed my doctoral studies in theoretical chemistry (mainly application of nonlinear dynamics on reaction-diffusion models, pattern formation, etc.), and then during my postdoc, I transitioned to a quantitative field: statistical ecology, and macroecology. I strongly believe my diverse background (being a physical scientist with an immense interest in biological problems) has made me well-skilled to solve exciting research questions. My current research interests are in the fields (but not limited to): Community ecology, Quantitative/ statistical ecology, Macroecology, and Theoretical ecology, focusing on using causal AI/XAI to understand mechanisms and predict change in natural patterns across scales.
Let's connect?
I am committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace where diverse perspectives are valued and all individuals can thrive. My approach emphasizes respect, empathy, and proactive support for underrepresented communities. Therefore, always open to research discussions and potential collaboration opportunities irrespective of your backgrounds, please don't hesitate to reach out!
